 Idaho Hill Elementary!

A word from our principal

A word from our principal.
Dear Families,
You will see in this newsletter that May /June is an extremely busy time! Our students in grades 3-6 will complete their ISAT at the end of May. The students have been working hard on these and will definitely celebrate when they are completed. We are anticipating receiving the results from the assessments before school is dismissed in June. Parents will receive information regarding the results promptly. You can find samples of the test items on the following site: .
Our kindergarten through 3rd grade students will complete the Idaho Reading Indicator this month too. This quick assessment helps us see how our students are growing in their reading skills. Our staff is continually reviewing their growth and adjusting interventions and enrichment as needed.
This school year our district also assessed our students math & writing skills in the fall and spring with a district math & writing assessment. We want to ensure that our students have mastered the skills necessary in each grade and this has certainly helped us monitor that growth.
This summer we are planning to continue our reading challenges!! We are planning to hold a gathering in July and August at the school. More information will be sent to you before school is out! Our goal is to have fun and help kids continue reading.
Please mark your calendars and join us for the many fun events planned for the next six weeks! Some of our favorites , of course are: Spring Fling, Friday, May 19th, Civil War Dance, Tuesday, May 30th, Science Fair, Wednesday, May 31st, and Safety Day, Wednesday June 7th.
Happy Spring!
Mrs. Luckey
